Egyptian Sports Minister praises the performance of national team players at World Gymnastics Championships in Turkey, confirms his confidence

Minister of Youth and Sports,Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, praised the distinguished performance and presence of the Egyptian technical gymnastics team at the World Junior Gymnastics Championships and young women currently residing in Antioch, Turkey with 36 participants. The players of the junior men’s team were able to obtain ninth in the teams competitions in a new achievement of Egyptian gymnastics as the best gymnastics team in the world championships.

On the other hand, Mustafa Ahmed and Yahya Zakaria have qualified for the World Gymnastics Championships as well as Mohamed Attia and Yahya Zakaria for the final of the horse’s throat and parallel.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi affirmed that Egyptian sport has achieved progress in sports professionals in all international competitions, indicating that This success boils down to a number of factors, most important of which is unrelenting support by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, for the sports system which work to create a suitable qualified atmosphere around players and meet their needs and prepare them optimally in accordance with the plans and training camps specified by the sports federations, by the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry and the Olympic Committee and the federations.

Sobhi expected further achievements for Egyptian gymnastics in the coming days , confirming that game will witness continuous development by the Ministry’s great support for sports gymnastics, wishing the players well in the coming competition.

Minister Sobhi noted that his ministry spares no effort to provide local sports federations with their needs.

Ministry of youth and sports also seeks to work hard to help Egyptian athletes participate in all international championships and competitions.

For his part, Dr. Ihab Amin, President of the Egyptian and African Gymnastics Federations, lauded the high level offered by Egypt’s men’s and women’s team to junior technical gymnastics at the World Championships in Turkey.

He expressed his thanks to Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, for continuous exerted efforts and support of the game and national gymnastics teams, which contributed to the achievement of outstanding results at the international and continental levels in recent times.

It’s worth noting, that Egyptian team of artistic gymnastics and women participates in the second world junior and junior championships from March 29 to April 2 in Antalya, Turkey. The mission headed by Eng. Ahmed Talat, Vice President of the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation.
