Saudi Ambassador hands over homes rental values to 1000 displaced Syrian families

Beirut, Sha’ban 6, 1435, Jun 4, 2014, SPA — Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awwad Asiri handed over, at the headquarters of the Saudi Embassy here today, the rental values of homes to one thousand displaced Syrian families to cover their rent for coming months which is implemented by the Saudi National Campaign to support the brothers in Syria, in the presence of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to Lebanon Ninat Kelly.
On the occasion, Ambassador Asiri delivered a speech in which he explained that: “The projects to be implemented by the Saudi National Campaign to support the brothers in Syria, during the next phase, include the extension of the housing rental project for one thousand Syrian family for 6 months at a cost of about one million and eight hundred thousand U.S. dollars.
He emphasized that this aid comes to keep up with relief and assistance provided by the National Campaign to support the brothers in Syria, which operates under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and under the direct supervision of Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior in order to alleviate the suffering of displaced Syrians and help Lebanese State as much as possible to tolerate this social burden in these difficult circumstances.
